Abstract

Nanostructured spinel zinc ferrite (ZnFe2O4) thin films were prepared, using the electrospray technique, as photoabsorber material for photoelectrochemical water splitting. An enhanced photocurrent of 53 μA cm−2at 1.23 VversusRHE was achieved, which is among the best results obtained for unmodified ZnFe2O4photoanodes.
